Terms & Conditions

  1. Definitions:
    1. 1.1. “Application Period” means the period commencing on 1 December 2018 and ending on 31 October 2019, both days inclusive.
    2. 1.2. “Geneco” means Geneco by Seraya Energy Pte Ltd.
    3. 1.3. “Plus!” means the Plus! Programme offered by NTUC Link Pte Ltd.
    4. 1.4. “Eligible Customer” refers to an individual who:
      1. a. signs up for a new Get It Fixed 36 residential electricity plan with Geneco and is the registered account holder;
      2. b. is not an existing customer of Geneco at the time of signing up;
      3. c. does not have a Geneco account that was terminated or closed (whether by the individual or by Geneco) in the last twelve (12) months immediately prior to the commencement of the Application Period; and
      4. d. holds an existing active Plus! account.
    5. 1.5. “Award” refers to 4,000 LinkPoints given to the Eligible Customer further to the commencement of the Geneco Electricity Retail Agreement with an automated email from Geneco confirming of such on the activation date (“Activation Date”).
  2. An Eligible Customer is deemed to have successfully signed up for a new account with Geneco if all the following conditions are met:
    1. 2.1. the Eligible Customer submits an application for the Get It Fixed 36 electricity plan with Geneco, available at https://www.geneco.sg/residential/electricity-plans/ during the Application Period;
    2. 2.2. the Eligible Customer inputs the corresponding promotion code; and
    3. 2.3. the Eligible Customer’s application is approved and he/she has received an automated email from Geneco confirming the commencement of the Electricity Retail Agreement.
  3. An Eligible Customer who fulfils the conditions set out in Clause 2 above will receive the Award in his/her corresponding active Plus! account within sixty (60) days from the Activation Date. Should the Eligible Customer not be an existing Plus! member or does not have an active Plus! account, he/she consents to an automatic enrolment for a complimentary Plus! membership and for a Plus! Card to be sent to the registered address provided by the Eligible Customer in the Geneco Electricity Retail Agreement. All applicable terms and conditions stipulated by NTUC Link for the Plus! membership applies.
  4. Geneco reserves the right to amend, suspend, withdraw, vary or terminate the Promotion, including but not limited to replacing the Award with one or more items of similar value at its absolute discretion, and to, vary, add to, or delete any of these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice, including but not limited to the eligibility requirements set out in Clauses 1.4 and 2 and the Application Period under Clause 1.1.
  5. This Promotion is not applicable or valid with any other promotions, offers or discounts unless otherwise stated.
  6. The use of the Award is subject to additional terms and conditions imposed by NTUC Link. Geneco shall not be responsible for the quality, merchantability or the fitness for any purpose or any other aspect of the products and/or services provided by NTUC Link. Any complaint or dispute about the Award, quality of products and/or service standards of NTUC Link must be resolved directly with NTUC Link through the following channels.

    Geneco shall not at any time be responsible or held liable for any loss, injury, damage, harm, settlement sums, costs, charges, expenses, actions, penalties, proceedings, claims and demands, arising out of or in connection with the products and/or services provided by NTUC Link and/or third parties.
  7. It shall be at Geneco’s absolute discretion to make any decision on all matters relating to this Programme, including but not limited to the eligibility requirements. Geneco’s decision in relation to such matters shall be final and binding on all customers.
  8. Participation in this Promotion shall constitute acceptance of all these terms and conditions set out above and any amendments thereof. These terms shall be read in conjunction with the Electricity Retail Agreement, where relevant, and any other applicable promotional terms and conditions.
  9. By participating in this Promotion, the customer shall be deemed to have consented to (i) the collection and receipt of his/her personal data by Geneco (including the Electricity Retail Agreement) pursuant to this application and disclosure of such personal data to NTUC Link and/or its representatives/agents; and (ii) the collection and/or use by NTUC Link and/or its representatives/agents of such personal data for the purpose of verifying eligibility for the Plus! membership and providing such services as may be required by NTUC Link for its Plus! members.
